RebalanceMD would like to take a moment to recognize a few of our unsung heroes.
Dr. Catherine O’Brien
Dr. O’Brien has been part of the RebalanceMD team for 7 years. Not only has she done great work as a treating physician but has been hard at work teaching the up-and-coming physicians in medical education and clinical skills in Orthopaedics.
In addition to her work at RebalanceMD, Dr. O’Brien is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the UBC Department of Orthopaedics and plays several educational roles through the UBC Island Medical Program. She is an advisor for the undergraduate Flexible Enhanced Curriculum, a clinical skills instructor teaching musculoskeletal examination, and provides sessions during surgical clerkships on OR orientation, culture, and trauma simulation.

Dr. David Saliken
Dr. Saliken is one of our outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeons at RebalanceMD. He was recently awarded the Bronze Foley Award in June 2021 as voted upon by the Family Medicine Residents of the UBC Island Family Medicine Program. This award is given annually to the best clinical teacher in a surgical division. Congratulations and well-done Dr. Saliken!

We are incredibly proud of our team here at RebalanceMD and can’t thank them enough for all their hard work, dedication, resilience, and teamwork.
Throughout the pandemic, the staff at RebalanceMD have been unmatched in their ability to adapt, persevere, and remain positive during a challenging and frightening time.
The staff were able to seamlessly navigate through the closing of the clinic, transitioning to virtual care, surgical cancellations, reopening to the public with strict covid-19 precautions, and frequently changing orders and directives. All while being the calming voice for patients, the constant support for their physicians and the glue that holds the clinic together.
A huge pat on the back and thank you to the RebalanceMD Staff!!
