Our Physicians use point-of-care (clinical) ultrasound to help identify pain producing structures / problems and direct diagnostic and therapeutic injections. An ultrasound is a safe and painless procedure performed in the office that uses high frequency sound waves to produce images of the targeted area. Images of the internal soft tissues appear on a computer monitor that the physician can view in real time with the patient. These images will identify any clear causes of pain that cannot be detected during a physical examination.
