Jolie completed her Masters of Physical Therapy, and previously her Bachelors of Kinesiology in Health Science, at UBC. Growing up competing in various sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, swimming, and dragonboat, she was introduced to physiotherapy through her own injuries, which sparked an interest in rehabilitation. While at UBC, Jolie worked as a student athletic trainer for the UBC Men’s Volleyball Team, through which she was granted the opportunity to volunteer on the rehab team for the Women’s National Volleyball Team and Men’s Youth National Volleyball Team.
Jolie is passionate about empowering people through movement. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds to create treatment plans that assist their rehabilitation journey to achieve optimal function and performance. To further her clinical expertise, Jolie has been pursuing continuing education, having taken several courses regarding musculoskeletal rehabilitation and running. She has a special interest in working with sports rehabilitation. She believes movement is medicine, which is a keystone to her practice. Jolie’s treatment approach includes exercise prescription, manual therapy, taping, and patient education, with the goal of helping individuals achieve their goals, whether they are recovering from injury or looking to optimize performance
